The Sporting Club is to stage its inaugural awards ceremony honouring a star-studded line-up of the world’s greatest sporting heroes.

The sports business networking club- which has three venues in London, plus two in Manchester and one in Dublin, will stage the first ever Sporting Club Awards at London’s newly-refurbished Royal Lancaster Hotel.

The event will be hosted by Sporting Club Founder Ian Stafford on November 28th.

Presenters include ex-England star Alan Shearer, England World Cup Cricket Captain Eoin Morgan, TV presenters Ant Middleton and Nick Knowles, New Zealand rugby legend Zinzan Brooke, Olympians Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Dame Katherine Grainger and Lizzy Yarnold. Westlife singer Brian McFadden will perform as will ex-England football star John Barnes during what is sure to be a memorable night.

There will be ten mainstream awards celebrating teams and big names from fall major sports, including a highly-anticipated Lifetime Achievement gong.

The evening will feature an auction with proceeds being donated to the NSPCC and is to be screened via broadcast partner livetree, a new entertainment streaming platform.

Ian Stafford said:

“The Sporting Club has gone from strength to strength and we thought it right to launch our own awards ceremony. We have an extremely exciting list of names and if the Sports Personality Of The Year ceremony is The Oscars of sport, then this is The Golden Globes.

“It should raise a considerable chunk for the NSPCC and there will be some unforgettable surprise moments and the room will be packed wall-to-wall with some of our most familiar sportsmen and women.

“It builds on the great calendar of events we have hosted in all our clubs and will be the first of many I hope. We are about the business of sport and house a unique network of members and aim to expand globally on all continents,”
